Official event rules

Competition Standards

One clear reference for competitors, hosts, and tournament administrators.

01 / FORMAT

Bracket & Advancement

  • Open public event. Matches are 1v1 Black Ops 7 multiplayer Search & Destroy.
  • All matches are best-of-one map (BO1). The player who wins that map advances.
  • Bracket is double elimination: a player is eliminated only after their second match loss.
  • The grand final uses a true reset: the player coming from the lower bracket must defeat the undefeated finalist twice to win the event.
02 / MATCHES

Search & Destroy Settings

  • The map winner is the first player to win six rounds. If tied 5–5, round 11 determines the winner.
  • Play the approved competitive Search & Destroy lobby preset; hosts may not change agreed match settings or introduce gameplay advantages.
  • Standard CDL-style competitive settings and restrictions apply unless this rulebook or the event administrators explicitly specify otherwise.
  • Do not begin a match until both players have confirmed the map and lobby setup.
03 / MAPS

Approved Map Pool

Only approved event maps are permitted. Use the matchup map designated by the tournament bracket or an administrator; do not substitute another map without approval.

04 / APPROVED LOADOUTS

Exactly What You Can Use

SFG tournament whitelist: this 1v1 event uses CDL-style competition settings and a narrower SFG-approved equipment list. Only the options listed here are approved for this event; the general CDL rulebook alone does not expand this list.

No other weapon is permitted in this tournament even if it happens to be available in CDL or Ranked Play.

Combination rule: Flak Jacket and Tech Mask may not be equipped together. All other wildcards, perk specialties and overclocks are prohibited.

Approved equipment

These equipment choices are the SFG event whitelist, deliberately narrower than some other CDL-format events. Using a restricted or unlisted item is a tournament rule violation.

Attachments — permitted vs. prohibited

  • VS Recon: zero attachments, no exceptions.
  • M15 MOD 0 and MPC-25: standard Gunsmith attachments are allowed only when they comply with official CDL restrictions and applicable competitive GAs. There is no general “all attachments allowed” rule.
  • Prohibited: all lasers; all underbarrel launchers/weapons; FMJ fire mod; the Greaves A-762 and Monolithic Suppressor; Solaris Holo-IR, Bowen X-25 IR and VAS Strix 6x Thermal optics.
  • Additional current GA restrictions: all assault-rifle muzzle attachments and Rapid Fire fire mods are prohibited. Any restricted conversion kit or weapon modification is prohibited.
  • Unapproved blueprints or builds do not bypass the rules. A player must correct an invalid loadout before the match begins.

Rules references: Official CDL Competitive Settings V1.1 ↗ and Activision's CDL-GA Ranked Play restrictions ↗. SFG's explicit event whitelist above governs wherever it is more restrictive. The official lists may change, so staff will announce any update before play; no mid-match surprises.

Inputs: controller and mouse-and-keyboard are both permitted for this SFG event. No macros, recoil scripts, rapid-fire scripts, unauthorized aim assistance, or other gameplay automation.

05 / OPERATIONS

Match Check-in & Hosting

  • Players who fail to appear or respond within 15 minutes may forfeit at the administrator's discretion.

  • Report lobby problems or disconnects promptly. Administrators will determine whether to resume, restart, or award the match based on evidence and circumstances.
